Behind the Scenes of Fairy Tail & Borderlands 3 with Cherami Leigh

This past weekend, we had to wonderful opportunity to cover the Let’s Play Gaming Expo’s 5th annual convention. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it, this convention is all about celebrating the creativity & fun around both classic & modern games. As part of their celebration of modern gaming, they invited several of the voice actors from the Borderlands franchise as guests, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series & build hype for the upcoming release of Borderlands 3. While we had the pleasure to speak to many of them, one of those voice actors whose name should also be very familiar to the anime fans out there was the fabulous Cherami Leigh.

Having a list of credits on IMDB about a mile long & having played major roles in some of the most popular anime & gaming series in recent memory, Cherami Leigh has clearly earned her place among the voice acting community. Her roles have ranged from Lucy Heartfilia in Fairy Tail & Asuna Yuuki in Sword Art Online to Gaige from Borderlands 2 & Makoto Niijima from Persona 5. She has even appeared on the big screen in movies like Fast Food Nation, as well as streaming in Shane Dawson’s Not Cool. Speaking with her, it is immediately clear that she has a deep love for what she does & is constantly looking for new projects to stretch her acting abilities. However, with all of that to her credit, the thing about her that struck us the most was watching her interact with her fans. Over the weekend, there wasn’t one time that we ever saw her be anything short of sweet or gracious to anyone that came up to her table to ask for an autograph. In fact, every time we walked by her table, she constantly looked enthralled in the conversations she was having with the people at her table. Whether they were talking about one of characters that she has voiced, or she was asking them about the cosplay they were dressed as, everyone seemed to walk away happy. In this day & age where conventions are popping up left & right, asking more & more of their guest’s free time, seeing someone as busy as Cherami continuing to take the time to make each individual fan feel appreciated is such a fantastic thing.

If you want to follow her on social media & keep up with all the great things she has coming up, you can find the links to her social platforms down below. And, of course, if you want to enjoy some of her most well-known roles, you can find those bellow, as well!
