Is Timmy Britt the True Embodiment of the Disney Spirit?
For those of you unfamiliar with his work, Timmy Britt has lived the dream of many artists & Disney fans around the world! Starting out as a mural artist, then working in animation & set design for NFL Films, Timmy eventually made his way to Disney World where he became THE rising star of the Animation Academy at MGM/Hollywood Studios. After becoming the highlight of many guest’s visits to the park with an accumulated 3 Spirit of Disney awards, 70 Applause-o-Grams, & 68 Guest Service Fanatic awards (an unheard-of level of guest recognition for Disney cast members), Timmy made his way into the role of Art Director & Disney Imagineer. Here he influenced the aesthetics of many fan-favorite parts of Disney World, including Pandora - The World of Avatar, The Streets of Agrabah, EPCOT’s Frozen Norway Pavilion, & so many more! During this time, he worked with Universal Studios Orlando in a similar role, designing Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventures (plus several other parts of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter), Volcano Bay, & the Fast & Furious ride.
