Did Daniel Craig Do Justice to The Legacy of James Bond?

As the longest tenured James Bond, Daniel Craig has earned a prestigious place withing the legacy of both the franchise & the character. However, does his time served automatically prove anything about the quality of his performance or his contributions to the Bond mythology? If we take the number of films that each actor appeared in as Bond as the most important factor, Roger Moore would undisputedly be the most influential actor to the character with seven movies to his name, followed by Sean Connery with six, and Daniel Craig coming in third with only five.

When it comes to examining a character like James Bond, the task is made even more difficult by the fact that he has changed drastically over the years to fit the era that each movie was released in. So, like Doctor Who, the flexibility of both the character & the franchise provides a simple tool for directors to create their own James Bond, but severely complicates debates and nerdy over analysis by lifelong fans, like all of us here at Dallas Geek. So, on today’s audio-exclusive podcast, we will breakdown the legacy of the franchise & see if we can come to an agreement on how important Daniel Craig’s tenure as the most infamous man-of-mystery has truly been!
