Facebook Presents New Storytelling Opportunities for Cosplayers

So…we’re only about a year late, so let’s start knocking out our interview backlog from 2019!

One of the most appealing aspect of cosplaying is that it gives you the chance to embody your favorite characters & add your own twist to them to make them your own. It is something that most everyone has dreamed of doing at one point or another growing up. However, even within the cosplay community, there is a line that few people feel comfortable crossing: publicly acting out the role of the character they are cosplaying. Sure, tossing out a line or two during a photo-op or adopting a classic pose is common enough, but going to the level of creating fan films or web comics as the characters you cosplay doesn’t happen as often as you might think. So, when we found a local group of Star Trek cosplayers who have taken that extra step to create a fully flushed out web comic, or memesodes as they have coined it, we knew we had to talk to them. What inspires fans like them to take the time out of their busy weeks to create full storylines about a crew of their very own ship in the Star Trek universe just for fun? Find out all this & more as we interview the members of Star Trek Pathfinder on today’s edition of Dallas Geek!
